Modern Day Tale of the Talents
On Sunday, January 24, Pastor Brady Cooper taught from Matthew 25:14-30 about the Parable of the Talents, and then introduced a "Modern Day Tale of the Talents". During each service that day, he gave one of our young ministers a $50 bill, and charged them with investing that money... God's money... in a way that advances the cause of Christ.
It has been fun and thought-provoking to watch these young men pray, plan, and implement their strategies: fun because of their creativity and enthusiasm; fun to watch them realize how intentional stewardship can have such dramatic impact; thought-provoking in that
this "parable" reminds us that we should express the same creativity and enthusiasm.

We should be focused on kingdom-impact as we "invest" the resources God has given us the responsibility to steward. We are all participants in this modern-day parable...or at least we should be. We each need to ask ourselves if our stewardship is pointing others to Christ?
